Tracey started her career in the financial services industry by joining London and Manchester Assurance in 1995 as an Office Clerk for 6 months but enjoyed it so much she stayed for 7 years and has remained in the industry ever since. After leaving what then was Royal Liver Assurance where she had become Sales Support Co-coordinator, Tracey went on to work for Zurich Financial Services as a Consumer Intermediary Underwriter before returning back to Royal Liver Assurance for another year. Tracey then moved onto an Independent Mortgage Broker in Southampton for 5 years before joining the Retirement and Investment Solutions’ administration team in 2009.

Tracey has worked in a broad spectrum of areas within the Financial Services including Life, Pensions, Mortgage and General Insurance administration. Here at Retirement and Investment Solutions, Tracey works alongside Steve and his clients and is responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day administration, as well as research and recommendations for clients.

When Tracey is not at work, you will normally find her riding her bike in the sunshine, shopping or gardening - if the weather permits!

Although Sue’s first job after leaving school (many years ago) was with an insurance company, her recent career in financial planning started in August 1991 when she joined a small IFA company on a part time basis to provide admin support.

Sue completed her Financial Planning Certificate in 1999 and has been with Retirement and Investment Solutions since 2001. Sue has developed a keen interest in the business and in particular the client service aspect.

Outside of work, Sue has a full life with many varied interests. She has been a fund-raiser for Save The Children for many years now and is currently the secretary of her local volunteer branch. Throughout the summer months, Sue’s social life is heavily involved with the Fareham & Crofton Cricket club where she is the second team scorer and Treasurer.

Sue is also a keen (though slow) distance runner. She has completed the London Marathon on three occasions and has not ruled out another attempt at this distance.

"Since joining Retirement and Investment Solutions, I have always been impressed with the balance of professionalism along with a very friendly atmosphere. I personally enjoy working for a company that cares about their clients and works to build up a relationship with them, as well as providing the professional expertise required”

Pat has been advising clients on all financial matters since 1980 and specialises in advising the over 50’s who want to work with someone who is able to cut through all the jargon and explain everything in easy to understand terms. With her experience in Pensions, Investments, Equity Release and Long Term Care, Pat is ideally suited to provide advice on all areas of financial planning that are important pre and post retirement.

Pat and her colleague Steve Webb founded Meon Valley Financial Planning Ltd in 1997, which was born out of a desire to offer something different – to really add value to their clients’ lives. Following 10 successful years, the trading name of the company was changed to Retirement and Investment Solutions to reflect their specialism in advising client’s at the most crucial time of their lives - retirement.

Pat has a select number of clients that she works with on an ongoing basis in a relaxed but professional and personable way. Pat truly understands that the invest and forget attitude of some financial advisers has affected the perception of the industry but her clients know that she always has time for them and the regular contact means her clients can be sure that their investment and pension assets continue to work to their maximum potential.

Outside of work, Pat has been happily married for a number of years and has a son who is currently living on a Greek Island, providing Pat with plenty of opportunities to visit this beautiful part of the world. Pat is qualified to Diploma level with the Personal Finance Society (DipPFS), and also has Long Term Care and Equity Release qualifications.

“I thoroughly enjoy my life at Retirement and Investment Solutions. Getting to know my clients and helping them through the many twists and turns of life is so rewarding and the camaraderie and professionalism shown by the whole team makes it a pleasure to come to work. Steve has been involved in the life and pensions industry since 1976, becoming Life and Pensions Technical Support Manager with Commercial Union, followed by over 7 years as a Broker Consultant. He left the insurance companies in 1990 to become an Independent Financial Adviser with a local firm and this is where he started working with Pat.

In 1997, Steve and Pat left to set up Meon Valley Financial Planning to focus on clients looking for a high level of service combined with a friendly and straightforward approach to what can be complex subjects.

In 2008, the company began trading under the name of Retirement and Investment Solutions as this better reflects what the company is all about – providing solutions to those clients approaching, at or in retirement.

Due to his background and training as a Technical Support Manager, Steve has extensive knowledge of all aspects of financial services but he is particularly experienced in all aspects of pensions and has a number of specific and specialised qualifications in this area.

Outside of work, Steve has a passion for the great outdoors and is a keen golf, football and rugby fan.

Steve is qualified to Diploma level with the Personal Finance Society (DipPFS), and also has the advanced Pension Qualification G60 which enables Steve to advise on Occupational Pensions and Pension Transfers.
