After leaving college Julie’s first job was as a receptionist in an Insurance Brokers in Fareham.  Then in 1996, after a break from work to have her family she joined an IFA Company in Portsmouth, dealing mostly with mortgage administration.

She left them after 7 years for a complete career change and joined The Rainbow Centre in Fareham where she spent just under 9 years as their community and events fundraiser.

When I am not working I enjoy cooking and watching cooking programmes.  Just recently I have started running and I am currently in training for the Great South Run. For holidays I regularly visit The Gambia.  I love the climate and the people and the fact it is only 5.5 hours from UK with no time difference. As both my children have now left home my partner Phil and I decided to sponsor a gambian family whom we meet up with each year.

After almost 9 years of fundraising I feel that I need a less stressful job with a lot fewer unsocial hours. I really enjoyed my time working for an IFA and I am looking forward to starting with Retirement and Investment Solutions.  I am very much a people person and I like the fact that RIS really get to know their clients and that they are a small friendly team".
